The College was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Professor Nigel Weiss (1954), FRS, Emeritus Professor of Mathematical Astrophysics in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, and Fellow of Clare College.

Nigel was a leader in his field. He was a Fellow of Clare for fifty-five years, and was the first President of the Fellowship. His contributions to the life of the College were immense and he will be very much missed. More information about funeral and memorial arrangements will be shared in due course.
