Nigel Gawthrope 1957-2019

The College has just received the sad news of the death of Nigel Gawthrope, both the Mayor of Cambridge and a Porter at Clare College.

He was a highly valued member of the Clare community, and will be greatly missed.

Nigel passed away suddenly whilst on holiday in South Africa. His time as Mayor and a Cambridge City Councillor is remembered in the Cambridge Independent.
